Northwood Varsity Timberwolves opened the scoring in the first after Paul Grossman singled, scoring one run.

Northwood Varsity Timberwolves added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Kai Mo was struck by a pitch, and Grossman grounded out, each scoring one run.

Caleb Rockwell took the loss for Portola Varsity Bulldogs. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering three runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one. Andres Hernandez threw two innings of no-run ball for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit, striking out three and walking one.
