Euper Leads Northwood Past Sage Hill 7-0

Casey Euper struck out 10 batters as the left-handed pitcher led Northwood Varsity Timberwolves past Sage Hill Varsity Lightning 7-0 on Tuesday. Euper surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking one.

 

Northwood Varsity Timberwolves won thanks in part to four runs in the second inning. Euper singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Cale Huh doubled, scoring one run.  Northwood added one run in the third. Robbie Thomas singled, making the score 5-0.

 

Andres Hernandez tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves in relief. The righty surrendered one hit, striking out one and walking none. 

 

Euper, the number seven hitter for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves, led the way with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Euper and Rylan Littlejohn each collected two hits for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves.

Northwood Varsity Timberwolves turned one double play in the game.

 

Oliver Cheng took the loss for Sage Hill Varsity Lightning. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering seven runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking three. Jared Stroner led Sage Hill Varsity Lightning with two hits in three at bats. Sage Hill Varsity Lightning turned two double plays in the game.
