Northwood Varsity Timberwolves Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over Calabasas

 

Northwood Varsity Timberwolves ran off with the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Calabasas on Saturday.  The game was tied at two with Northwood Varsity Timberwolves batting in the bottom of the fifth when Adam Harper singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

 

Northwood Varsity Timberwolves got things moving in the first inning, when a sacrifice bunt by Kadan Chan scored one run for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves.

 

Calabasas evened things up at two in the top of the third inning.  Shulman grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

 

Bobby Bangs was the winning pitcher for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves. The righty surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.

 

#20 took the loss for Calabasas. The bulldog went two and a third innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one.

 

Spencer Collins-Williams started the game for Northwood Varsity Timberwolves. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and two runs while striking out three and walking zero Gibbel started the game for Calabasas. The pitcher went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out two

 

Paul Grossman, Jordan Kim, Andres Hernandez, and Harper each managed one hit to lead Northwood Varsity Timberwolves.  Northwood Varsity Timberwolves didn't commit a single error in the field. Harper had  eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

 

Calabasas scattered ten hits in the game.  Gonzalez, Witkow, and Cassaway all managed multiple hits for Calabasas.
