Tristan Racks up Fifth Win of the Season
In a masterful performance, Julian Tristan dominated the Trojans with a one-hit shutout in his five innings on the mound. Tristan faced only 10 Trojan batters over the first three innings striking out five and hitting Nick Wetzel in the second inning.

The Trojans got two runners on base in the 4th inning, with two outs, Wetzel got on first on an error and Adam Barnett got the lone hit off Tristan. Both were left stranded. Tristan hit his second batter in the 5th with two outs, but got the final batter to fly out to the left fielder Tom McCarty.

After five innings, Coach Rob Stuart decided to rest Tristan and sent in Arthur Liu. Liu gave up a single but struck out one to have an easy inning. Leading 12-0 going into the seventh Tyler Model came on and retired the first two batters but then walked the next two batters before Trojan pinch hitter Grant drove in the first run on a single. The Trojans got their second run on an error, and Wetzel drove in the final run with a single off reliever Connor Belsby.
