James Clothier is a Doane Tiger! Three months ago, James was content to hang up his spikes and become a full-time student in college. However, once the season ended for our Timberwolves, James changed course and decided to pursue a college baseball career. As expected, he performed very well in a wood bat summer league and caught the eyes of coaches Jeremy Jorgensen and Josh Oltmans (flanking James in the photo below). James will be heading to Nebraska in a few weeks to get acclimated to the school and the baseball program. Congratulations, James!
Our first class of 2013 scholarship baseball player, Austin Von Blasingame, followed the more traditional route by signing a scholarship agreement with New Mexico State way back in December. Austin was "discovered" by the NMS coaches at a baseball showcase game in the summer of 2012 and was offered a spot on the team soon thereafter. In the photo below, Austin is surrounded by most of his other senior Timberwolf teammates at the NHS spring signing ceremony. Congratulations, Austin!

Congratulations to Zack (#32 fist pumping at the bottom of the dogpile) and best of luck in the future!
